Guangzhou (JLC), October 10, 2023 – The State Council Information Office of China released a white paper titled "The Belt and Road Initiative: A Key Pillar of the Global Community of Shared Future" on October 10.
The white paper aims to present the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during the past 10 years, giving the international community a better understanding of the value of the initiative, state-run newspaper China Daily reported.
Over the past decade, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) "has delivered real gains to participating countries," according to the white paper, cited by China Daily.
In March 2013, President Xi Jinping proposed the vision of a global community of shared future; and in September and October that year, he raised the initiatives of joining with others to build a Silk Road Economic Belt and a 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, the newspaper said.
The BRI has contributed to the sound development of economic globalization and helped to resolve global development challenges and improve the global governance system, the white paper noted.
