Guangzhou (JLC), July 13, 2023--China's import and export value in U.S. dollar (USD) terms fell slightly on a month-on-month basis in June, but was still above the USD500 billion mark, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the PRC (GACC).
Foreign trade value came in at USD500.02 billion in June, dropping 0.3% on month and 10.1% on year, the GACC’s data shows.
A trade surplus of USD70.62 billion was registered in June, with import value standing at USD214.70 billion and export value at USD285.32 billion.
In the first half of 2023, total foreign trade value fell to USD2.92 trillion, a year-on-year drop of 4.7%, with a surplus of USD408.7 billion, the GACC’s data indicates.
