Guangzhou (JLC), May 13, 2024 – Sinopec Group topped the list of "2024 Chinese Brand Value Evaluation” jointly released by renowned organizations including Xinhua News Agency, China Council for Brand Development and China Appraisal Society, Sinopec said on May 11.
It was Sinopec Group's first top ranking since the annual list was first released in 2013, the company said.
Sinopec Group's brand value posted a year-on-year gain of CNY30.58 billion to reach CNY389.2 billion, ranking first among all 1,034 Chinese brands participating in the contest this year.
Brands under Sinopec Group all saw value growth across the board, Sinopec said.
For example, the brand value of Easy Joy, Sinopec's convenience store brand, hit CNY21.75 billion, a gain of CNY1.05 billion. The brand value of Great Wall Lubricant, one of Sinopec’s signature products, reached CNY9.82 billion, an increase of CNY1.38 billion. The brand value of EPEC.com, Sinopec’s e-commerce platform, hit CNY11.04 billion, a gain of CNY1.03 billion.
In addition, Sinopec Group has led the brand value race among Chinese energy and chemical companies for the eighth consecutive year, the company said. This year's top 10 most valuable Chinese brands in the energy and chemical sector are as follows:
